Palm Beach County to condo associations: If safety inspection deadline missed, do ASAP or else

Nearly one in five condo buildings in Palm Beach County that are covered by the state’s new safety-inspection law have failed to submit initial reports, setting off alarm bells at a recent county commission meeting.

The Florida Policy Project’s latest report highlights the potential for evictions or building condemnations due to assessments levied to repair aging structures. With 1.1 million condo units in Florida located in buildings older than 30 years, the stakes are high.
